Sculpting the Self
A creative journey through the medium of clay.
This series of sculpting workshops focuses on the process of working with clay—not producing a finished piece. Through a mixture of exercises and games, we’ll explore different ways to make, think, and play. Along the way, you’ll improve your skills, creativity, well-being, and confidence.

The Three Core Elements
Each session is built around three interconnected elements: physical skill-building, emotional and therapeutic exploration, and connection through playful, inventive games.

About your Tutor Sophia’s teaching methodology is rooted in her diverse artistic background. She draws on her classical fine art training in Venice, Italy, alongside a playful, conceptual approach shaped during her time in Barcelona, Spain. She brings a decade of professional experience as a sculptor for the film industry, museums, and established artists, sharing hands-on techniques and skills with warmth and enthusiasm. Her ethos is grounded in the belief that creative making brings joy, connection, and well-being. Influenced by her Waldorf-Steiner education, where a holistic approach to nurturing the mind, body, and spirit fosters personal growth, she values the importance of connecting with our inner child—reclaiming the underrated skill of simply getting our hands messy and having fun. “Sculpting and making things is my moving meditation. Being a problem-solver of materials has given me peace, purpose, and joy. It’s been my escape and a way to connect with others. I want to share that. Art-making is for everyone! Roll up your sleeves and join us.”
